New Delhi | Captain David Warner’s 57 runs inning helped Delhi Capitals in defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by 4 wickets and to registered their first win in IPL 2023. Batting first after losing the toss the entire team of Kolkata Knight Riders was reduced to 127 runs in 20 overs. Jason Roy scored 43 and Andre Russell scored 38 not out. Ishant Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav, Akshar Patel and Andre Nokia took 2-2 wickets for Delhi Capitals. Chasing 127 runs, though the Delhi Capitals batting faltered on the bowling of the Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals won in 19.2 overs with the David Waner’s brilliant innings of 57 runs. Ishant Sharma was adjudged man of the match.
