Dehradun | Uttarakhand Cricket Association defeated Sporting Club Delhi by 21 runs in a thrilling match of league stage in the 39th Uttarakhand Gold Cup .
Batting first after winning the toss, Uttarakhand Cricket Association scored 341 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 45 overs. Kamal Singh played a brilliant inning of 145 runs in 108 balls with the help of 20 fours and 2 sixes. Akhil Singh Rawat’s innings of unbeaten 59 runs gave good support to the Uttarakhand Cricket Association in setting up a strong target. Arjun took 2 wickets for 61 runs for Sporting Club Delhi.
Chasing a target of 341 runs, Arjun Azad played an outstanding innings of 119 runs for Sporting Club Delhi to keep the match exciting till the end, at the end of the innings, Manish Sehrawat tried his best to reach the victory target of 42 runs in 20 balls with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes, but as soon as he was dismissed, the entire team of Sporting Club Delhi all out for 320 runs in 43.5 overs and lost the match by 21 runs. Agrim Tiwari took 4 wickets by giving 69 runs while bowling brilliantly; Sumit Juyal took 2 wickets by giving 58 runs.
