Agartala | Three-day JC Memorial tournament Cricket Match between United Friends and Cosmopolitan ended in a draw. United Friends won the toss and decided to bat first. United Friends scored 331 runs in the first innings. Arindam Burman, while batting brilliantly, scored 100 runs in 105 balls with the help of 9 fours and 4 sixes. Deepak Khatri scored 59 and Durlab Roy scored 56 runs. Pallab Das took 4 wickets.
In reply to United Friends’ first innings, Cosmopolitan scored 198 runs at the loss of 9 wickets. Wicket-keeper batsman Babul Dey played a brilliant innings of 87 runs while other batsmen failed to score big. Rajat Dey and Ritik Srivastava took 3-3 wickets.
In the second innings, United Friends scored 327 runs losing 5 wickets. Deepak Khatri played an unbeaten inning of 201 runs in 110 balls with the help of 14 fours and 13 sixes while playing a stormy innings. Sentu Sarkar played an inning of 72 runs. Sourav Kar took 2 wickets.
Chasing a target of 460 runs, Cosmopolitan could only manage 286 for the loss of 6 wickets on the last day of the match and the match was declared a draw. Babul Dey played an inning of 113 runs while batting brilliantly and Pallav Das scored 75 runs. Rajat Dey bowled brilliantly and took 3 wickets for 61 runs.
