New Delhi | Raunak Waghela’s all-round play helped Golden Eagle Club to a resounding 25-run win over Telefunken Cricket Club in the 3rd Harcourt Butler U-16 Cricket Tournament.
Telefunken Cricket Club won the toss and invited Golden Eagle Club to bat first. Golden Eagle’s team was reduced to 247 runs in 39 overs. Captain Raunak Waghela played an inning of 61 runs and Kush Waghela scored 51 and Rudra Dutt played useful innings of 40 runs. Yash Dwivedi bowled brilliantly and took 5 wickets for 42 runs. Parikshit Sehrawat took 3 wickets for 35 runs.
Chasing a target of 247 runs, the entire team of Telefunken Cricket Club was bundled out for 222 runs in 32.3 overs and lost the match by 25 runs. Mayank Yadav scored 37, Parikshit Sehrawat scored 33 and Chinmay Vashisht scored 31 runs. Raunak Waghela took 3 wickets by giving 40 runs and Aditya Singh took 3 wickets by giving 52 runs. Raunak Waghela was awarded with the man of the match for his brilliant all-round performance.
