Delhi Capitals lost again, defeated by Rajasthan Royals

Guwahati | The performance of Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023 was disappointing for the third consecutive match and due to the poor performance of the players, Delhi Capitals had to face a crushing defeat by 57 runs at the hands of Rajasthan Royals. Playing first, Rajasthan Royals made a strong score of 199 runs in the stipulated 20 overs thanks with the brilliant innings of Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Yashasvi scored 60 runs in 31 balls and Jos Buttler scored 79 runs in 51 balls. Simron Hetmyer played a brilliant inning of 39 runs in 21 balls in the last over. Mukesh Kumar was a successful bowler for Delhi Capitals, taking 2 wickets for 36 runs. Chasing 199 runs, Delhi Capitals got off to a very bad start and Prithvi Shaw, who came to bat as an impact player, once again failed to bat and became the victim of Bolt on a score of zero. Bolt almost ended Delhi Capitals’ challenge to win the match by sending Manish Pandey to the pavilion on the very next ball. Captain David Warner 65 and Lalit Yadav 38 showed some struggle for Delhi Capitals but in the end Delhi Capitals could only manage 142 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 57 runs. Yashasvi Jasaywal was adjudged man of the match.
