Delhi Technological University won the Ahawan Cricket Cup title

New Delhi | Man of the match Kundan’s brilliant all-round game (37 runs, 1/12) helped Delhi Technological University in beating Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies by 3 wickets and to lift  the Awahan Cricket Cup title. Playing first, VIPS scored 135 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Adnan Shabbir scored 49, Shivam Narang scored 24, Shrestha Kapil scored 21 and Piyush Pal scored 20 runs. Joy Bhatnagar took 3 for 20, Rishabh took 1 for 9, Kundan took 1 wicket for 12. DTUU achieved the target of 135 runs by losing 7 wickets in 17.1 overs. Kundan scored 37, Avinash scored 26 and Tushar Tyagi scored 31 runs. Syed Faiz Abdy took 4 wickets by giving 16 runs and Bhuvan Anand took 2 wickets by giving 20 runs. West all-rounder and best batsman of the tournament award given to Tushar Tyagi and best bowler award was given to Anshuman Hooda. The winning team was awarded with Rs 31,000 and the runner-up team was awarded with Rs 21,000 and trophy. The prize distribution was done by DTUU Chairman (Sports Council) RC Singh. Professor Rajiv Chaudhary was also present on the occasion. Coach Harish Dagar congratulated the entire team of DTUU for the title victory.
