IPL 2023: Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Chennai Super Kings to keep play-off hopes alive

Chennai |  Kolkata Knight Riders kept their hopes of reaching the play-offs alive by defeating Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets in the 61st crucial match of IPL 2023. Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat first, Chennai scored 144 runs losing 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Shivam Dube scored an unbeaten 48 while Devon Conway played an important inning of 30 runs. Varun Chakravarty and Sunil Narine took 2-2 wickets. Kolkata Knight Riders achieved the target of 144 runs by losing 4 wickets in 18.3 overs. Nitish Rana scored an unbeaten 57 and Rinku Singh played an inning of 54 runs. Deepak Chahar took 3 wickets for 27 runs. Rinku Singh was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant batting.
