IPL 2023: Second highest score of IPL History by Lucknow Super Giants, easy win over Punjab Kings

Mohali | In the 38th match of IPL 2023, Lucknow Super Giants scored the second highest score (257 runs for 5 wickets) of IPL History and registered a big win of 56 runs over Punjab Kings. Punjab Kings invited Lucknow Super Giants to bat first. Lucknow Super Giants scored a mammoth score of 257 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Marcus Stoinis scored 72 runs in 40 balls, Kyle Maryes scored 54 runs in 24 balls, Ayush Badoni scored 43 runs in 24 balls and Nicholas Pooran scored 45 runs in 19 balls. Kagiso Rawada took 2 for 52 and proved to be the most successful bowler for Punjab Kings. Chasing a mammoth target of 257, the Punjab Kings got off to a terrible start, losing both the opening batsmen for just 31 runs. Atharva Taide played a brilliant inning of 66 runs. The entire team of Punjab Kings was reduced to 201 runs in 19.5 overs and lost the match by 56 runs. Marcus Stoinis was given the man of the match for his brilliant all-round performance.
