New Delhi | Mishra Sports Club defeated Golden Eagle Club by 111 runs in the preliminary match of DDCA Hot Weather Cricket Tournament. Batting first, Mishra Sports Club scored 229 runs in 35.5 overs. Rishabh Rana scored 82 and Vishant Bhait played an inning of 45 runs. For Golden Eagle Club, Yuvraj Singh took 3 wickets by giving 42 runs and Raunak Vaghela took 2 wickets by giving 29 runs.
Chasing an easy target of 229 runs, Golden Eagle Club who became the champions in the league stage, got out of the tournament after being reduced to just 118 runs in 29.5 overs. Anirudh Sharma played an innings of 32 runs, other batsmen were complete failures. Jai Singh, Vishal Kumar and Vishnu Singh took 2-2 wickets. With the win, Mishra Sports entered the round.
