Ghaziabad | SRK Technology won the second Yashpal Sharma Memorial Cricket Tournament title by defeating Mount Cricket Club by 2 wickets in a thrilling final match. SRK Technology won the toss and invited Mount Cricket Club to bat first. Mount Cricket Club made a good score of 252 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 40 overs. Dev Lakra played an inning of 77 runs and Yugal Saini played an inning of 68 runs. Ansh Chaudhary took 3 wickets for 67 runs and Ish Paliwal took 2 wickets for 49 runs.
SRK Technology achieved the target of 252 runs in 37 overs by losing 8 wickets. Sarthak Ranjan played a brilliant inning of 124 runs in 76 balls. Parth Goswami played an inning of 46 runs and Avinash Thapa played an unbeaten inning of 27 runs. Saksham Gehlot took 3 wickets for 43 runs and Manas Joshi took 2 wickets for 36 runs. Sarthak Ranjan was adjudged Sports Sun Man of the Match for his excellent batting.
In the closing ceremony of the tournament, DDCA Director Shyam Sharma, Sports Sun Chairman Pawan Kumar, former Olympian Rohtas Dahiya and TVS Mani Coach Pelicans Cricket Club honored the players with awards. The title of best batsman in the tournament was given to Dev Lakra, best bowler Ansh Chaudhary, best fielder Bhuvan Tyagi and man of the tournament Jatin Kadian.
