St. Lawrence Academy in the quarterfinals of the Manav Chopra Cricket Tournament with the Brilliant bowling of Brian Jha

Ghaziabad | Brian Jha’s brilliant bowling figures of 4/36 helped St. Lawrence Academy in beating RP Academy by 13 runs in a thrilling encounter and to reach in the quarter-finals of the Manav Chopra Under-19 cricket tournament.

RP Academy won the toss and invited St. Lawrence Academy to bat first. The entire team of St. Lawrence Academy was reduced to 185 runs in 39.4 overs. Aryan Sharma scored 57, Vinayak Veenu scored 43, Kashish Jain scored 39 runs. Tanya Agarwal took 3 wickets for 36 runs. Tushar Pandey and Tarun Kumar took 2-2 wickets.

Chasing 185 runs for the win, the entire team of RP Academy lost the match by 13 runs, being reduced to 172 runs in 36 overs. Dipanshu Garg scored 44, Hayyan Elahi scored 33 runs. Brian Jha bowled brilliantly and took 4 wickets for 34 runs. Gaurav Mehra and Ankit Porwal took 2-2 wickets. Brian Jha was given Sports Sun man of the match for his brilliant bowling.
