Thrilling victory of Rajnigandha Cricket Club in Yashpal Sharma Cricket Tournament

Ghaziabad | Rajnigandha Cricket Club registered a thrilling victory by defeating Noida Wonders by 1 wicket In the first match of the 2nd All India Yashpal Sharma Memorial Cricket Tournament. Rajnigandha Cricket Club won the toss and invited Noida Wonders to bat first. Noida Wonders team could score only 165 runs after losing 7 wickets in the stipulated 40 overs. Harshit Sethi played the highest innings of 39 runs and Sparsh Joshi played 37 runs. Shivam Singh bowled brilliantly and took 3 wickets for 20 runs.

While chasing the easy target of 165 runs, Rajnigandha Cricket Club’s batting faltered badly. The team lost 9 wickets till the score of 107 runs. For the last wicket, Ankit Chaudhary 31 not out and Mohit Kanojia 25 not out made an unbeaten partnership of 61 runs and gave Rajnigandha Club a thrilling victory by 1 wicket. Ankit Chaudhary was adjudged man of the match for his excellent all-round game.

Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by IPS and DCP Ghaziabad Shubham Patel. Other dignitaries associated with Delhi cricket were also present on this occasion.
