Thrilling victory of Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association over Sehgal Cricket Club in Uttarakhand Gold Cup

Dehradun | Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association registered a thrilling victory of 1 run over Sehgal Cricket club in the 39th All India Uttarakhand Gold Cup Cricket Tournament.

Sehgal Cricket Club won the toss and invited Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association to bat first, Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association was bundled out for 258 runs in 44.5 overs. Akshdeep Nath scored 85 and Sameer Chaudhary scored 42 runs. Yogendra Doyla took 4 wickets and Vineet Kumar took 3 wickets for Sehgal Cricket Club.

Chasing 258 runs, the entire team of Sehgal Cricket Club was reduced to 257 runs in 44.3 overs and lost the match by 1 run. Anmol Sharma scored 65 and Shubham Rohilla scored 58 runs in 26 balls with the help of 9 fours and 3 sixes.  Sehgal Cricket Club needed just three runs in the last over to win, but Vineet Sharma was run out on the first ball, Ajay Dharania took 1 run on the second ball and on the third ball, Sameer Chaudhary scattered Yogendra Dolya’s stumps and won the match for Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association by 1 run. Saurabh Kumar bowled brilliantly for Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association and took 3 wickets for 35 runs.
